Begin with the host machine. Working width, mounting arrangement, power demand, hydraulic flow and pressure, or tractor PTO requirements must match the carrier.
Then describe the vegetation and terrain. Grass, weeds, brush, wet tangled growth, and woody material can require different flails, rotor arrangements, guarding, and working speeds. Slopes, roadside work, orchards, and open fields also create different access and safety constraints.
For quotation, provide the carrier model, interface, available hydraulic or PTO data, preferred width, vegetation, terrain, and expected duty cycle. Spare-part and maintenance access should be reviewed with the cutting configuration.
